Main Aims/Objectives

Understand the fundamentals of Economic Policy and frame them in the economic reality both at a structural and a conjunctural level.

Specific Aims/Objectives

Explain the mechanisms and reasoning of economic policies; analyze the functioning and effects of economic policies in industrialized countries; examine the Portuguese economic reality in view of the European integration and the globalization; and identify the possible methods and forms to shape a coordinated economic policy strategy.

Skills to be acquired

Understand Economic Policy and make scientific judgements about it.
